Travel Week gave us a big shout out in December in this great article about snorkeling on the islands, here. If you aren’t in the know, the Big Island boasts some of the most pristine snorkeling not only in the United States, but in the world. With areas where coral can be found growing at 100′, amazing diversity of marine life, and the clear waters that allow you to peer into the deep, it is a top destination for divers and snorkelers from around the world.
Kona Boys are fortunate to provide tours and rentals for two of the most amazing sites on the Big Island. The amazing coastline of Ka’awaloa in Kealakekua Bay which many consider to be the most amazing snorkeling spot in all of the Hawaiian Islands, and the beautiful coral heads just outside of Kamakahonu cove in the heart of Kailua-Kona, site of the first capital of Hawaii. If you find yourself on the Big Island I hope that you will let us share these amazing sites with you.
