Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a must do on the Kona Coast. With our clear blue waters, breathtaking scenery and abundant marine life, it’s sure to be an amazing time for a novice finding their sea legs, or a more seasoned paddler. We offer lessons and tours to ensure that we have something for everyone.
Paddle boarding originated in Hawaii, so leave the shore behind and join Kona Boys for a paddle. We offer lessons for those just getting their sea legs and paddle board tours for the more experienced.

Our Paddleboard lessons/tours happen at our Beach Shack location in Kailua Kona. Our shack is located on Kamakahonu Beach, which is on the west end of the Kailua pier, immediately next to the King Kamehameha Hotel (Kona Beach Resort). See the Shack pinned on the map here: 75-5664 Kaahumanu Pl, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.
Please show up 10-15 minutes early to take care of paperwork. Personal items can be left at the Shack while you’re on the water.

Ranging from 10 to 12 feet and from traditional to step-railed, we would love to help you get on the water and into this great sport.
Rentals for paddleboards from our Kealakekua location are available only with a reservation.
Kona Boys is stoked to rent a variety of stand up paddle boards.
With stand up paddle boards in both our upper (Kealakekua) and beach (Kailua pier) locations, you can paddle right out of Kailua harbor in calm Kamakahonu Bay, or strap a paddleboard on your car and head to your favorite spot.
