Aloha Kona Boys Ohana. As everyone is acutely aware, the COVID-19 Virus is having unprecedented effects on the world as we know it. These impacts are now hitting home and the ramifications on our island community are staggering. Kona Boys has been operating since 1996 and we have prided ourselves on keeping our doors open
The State has made permits available with specific conditions for recreational vessels. We’re not sure what this means exactly, but want to keep everyone interested informed.
Kona Boys received word from the State that we are able to resume providing kayak tours in Kealakekua Bay starting April 1st, 2013. We are excited to again be able to share this historic and spectacular area with our guests and share our combined passions for marine life preservation, and ocean recreation. Hawaii News Now
As of 1/2/2013 Kealakekua Bay is under a moratorium from kayaking, stand-up paddling, and other crafts while the State revises its management plan of the area. We hope that the moratorium will be lifted within 2 to 3 months.
