Kross Brodersen
This kid has heart. Kross is a frothy grom who puts in the time and is eager to impress . Never one to back down from a challenge or an opportunity. Kross was recently featured in a documentary, Time Well Spent which share his story and that of three other boys who were chosen to take a surf trip of a lifetime and help families in need in Panama. We are looking forward to seeing where his next adventure takes him.
Abraham Shouse
A long time friend, former Kona Boys employee and lifelong waterman, Abe is a man of many talents; a team rider for Starboard, creator and craftsman for Paddle Hawaii and licensed remote pilot, Abe is always in the water, creating toys to use int he water, or filming the action. Comfortable riding anything, Abe puts the most time in on his paddle board, but times are changing and lately he’s seemed to find his glide on the Stand Up Foil Boards.
Donica Shouse
The better half of this dynamic water faring couple, Donica is a vibrant spirt and talented paddler who has been on the cover of SUP magazine twice and is often featured in Paddle blogs and articles. This water girl is a brand ambassador, model and team rider for Starboard. Whether at work or at play chances are Donica is in the water.
Chad Kalele
An ambassador of ALOHA, this gentle giant shares the good vibes with all who cross his path. Easy to like, Chad embodies the spirit of the original beach boys of Waikiki and spends his days connecting people to the ocean and culture of his island home. But don’t be fooled, when this monster hits the lip he leaves you wondering if the wave is going to be ok.
Sam Fenwick
Local legend and all around great guy, Sam Fenwick is the perpetual grom. Always frothy for a session whether pulling into sketchy Big Island slabs or taking to the air on summer ramps. Feared by fish throughout the Pacific for his skills with rod and reel and admired by local groms for his silky style, willingness to give tips and great sense of humor. Sam is the guy you want to hang with in or out of the water.
Wesley Moore
Tatted, bearded and surfing better than you, this Ktown legend is easy to spot in the lineup. Often seen coming out of the water with two halves of a once whole long board and a smile, this inspiring water guy isn’t afraid to send it when the wave of the set rolls in. Often accompanied by his tribe of kids and rolling in a lowered 4runner, if you see them driving in town, it’s a good bet that they are headed to the beach.
Tosh Stratton
The youngest member of the Kona Boys Team, this up and comer is honing his skills on the diverse reefs of the Big Island. At 10 he has already gained the respect of many of the Big Island’s surf veterans and has spend more time in the ocean than most people do in their entire lives. A well rounded athlete, Tosh is a competitive swimmer and solid student with a bright future and lifetime of best waves ahead.
Danielle
Know for her surfing savvy and stylized art this girl is at home painting the waves and the canvas. Super big hearted, Danielle is always finding ways to give to the community, whether bringing lunch to the beach for less fortunate groms or donating art to raise money for a good cause. Danielle’s generosity is only outshined by her smile. Take some time to check out her art and become a fan like we are. After watching her surf you’ll hope someone says you surf like a girl.
Danny Milagro
A lifetime on the water. Danny is the oldest grom on our team. Still living for the endless summer Danny is know for his yearly pilgrimages to tropical surf locales. Brimming with Aloha Danny touches those he meets and loves to sit and talk story with a cold beer in hand.
